Dot and Zoom AI: what each one remembers
Zoom AI is included with most paid Zoom plans and now joins meetings on other platforms too, so if you are on Zoom you already have something that covers a lot of ground. This page is about one thing it does not do.
Every row was checked against Zoom’s own documentation. An earlier version of this page claimed Zoom AI could not reach Teams or Google Meet, which is wrong. Zoom documents it joining both as a participant. We cut that claim rather than soften it.

The thing a feature table cannot carry
Zoom AI will summarise the meeting where a decision was made, and it will do that on Teams and Google Meet as well as on Zoom. What it does not do is connect that meeting to the one six weeks later where the decision was quietly reversed.
Every summary is complete and correct about its own meeting. The gap is between them.
Where Zoom AI is the better choice
Be honest with yourself about this, because it is often the right answer.
It is included, it needs no additional processor, and it covers more platforms than it used to.
That is a real consideration rather than a technicality, and we are that vendor.
If nobody asks what was decided six weeks ago, our differentiator is not one for you.

Does Zoom AI work in Teams and Google Meet?
Yes. Zoom documents it joining meetings on third-party platforms as a participant, transcribing and summarising them. We checked, and an earlier version of this page said otherwise.
So what is actually different?
Zoom AI summarises each meeting. Dot keeps a record across them, so when you ask what was agreed it tells you whether a later meeting changed the answer, with the date.
